Mia Nielsen, M.Ed. is an educational therapist and former elementary school teacher with a Master’s in Education from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She specializes in supporting students in reading, writing, math, and executive functioning through personalized, one-on-one instruction.
With experience working with students with dyslexia, ADHD, and learning differences, Mia uses evidence-based approaches including Orton-Gillingham–based reading instruction, structured writing strategies, and targeted math support to help students build both skills and confidence. Her approach combines academic instruction with executive function coaching so students can develop the tools they need to become independent learners.
Mia is passionate about helping each student unlock their potential through individualized support, engaging instruction, and strong partnerships with families.
